I remember while growing up always having an Aloe Vera plant in our garden, it was our source of quick topical ointment. Any sunburns, wounds, cuts, scrapes, skin irritations and so on would be relieved by cutting a splitting up the leaf in half and applying it's slimy juice right on to our BOOBOO's.
